2012 in 12 Photos

Dwija had a superb idea* to re-create her 2012 year in 12 photos.  Then she made it a link-up!  I can hardly resist a link-up, and I love me some photos, so here goes!

*Please note: this is only a superb (by superb I mean easy) idea if you a) use only photos that are already on your blog, and b) didn't just download a brand new photo-editing program that you just HAD to try out.  Today.

I am not smart, nor am I a good listener/direction-follower, therefore I heeded exactly none of the above guidelines.  So while I hope this photo montage turns out purty, it sure was a pain in the rear end to post.  See ya later, 2012!  Don't let the most painful blog post of the year hit you on the way out!

For more 2012 in 12 fun, head on over to the much smarter Dwija's House Unseen.

  1. Love love love it. Though for a second, my heart stopped in the June picture when I thought I'd miscounted all your children all this time and that you'd snuck an extra one in on me.

    1. Or 2 extra kids? Those are my niece and nephew, but they fit right in, don't they? In fact, Gabe and Zeke tend to be the odd men out when they are all together. Too blonde to be Darrs!

    2. Need coffee. I blithely gave you a 5th child and didn't even realize it.

    3. You know I would take one. Especially one of those two angels.

  2. Oh my gosh. Did it not take you 3 hours just to SELECT the photos to use? I thought it was going to be "quick and slick" but no. It was the opposite of quick! But still fun and I'm sooooo glad you persevered. These are great!

    1. Yes, forever to select. And then I edited them w/ Photoshop Elements and added the month. And then the files were too big and so I had to compress them! But then somehow they were all saved in different folders so I had to FIND them before I could compress them. Then upload. Then post, then link. Then then then...

But it was worth it! So much fun, and thanks for hosting, Dwija!

    1. My heart actually stopped for a quick second when I saw all that ketchup, Jenny. And then I fell over laughing from relief. Couldn't even get mad at the 2 y.o, old who perpetrated the "violence."

    1. Thanks, Lucy. We live in Daegu, South Korea. That sign was up in an amusement park called E-World, although I think's down now as they change the decorations pretty frequently. Here are my 7 Quick Takes about E-World.
